Leaderboard Prizes:
  • Top 3 Players on the All-in-One CTF Leaderboard
  • Top Player on each of the 5 x CTF Technology Track Leaderboards
  • Top Player on each of the 4 x EXPERT CTF Technology Track Leaderboards

This time, Cisco Customers and Partners will compete on separate leaderboards, with separate prizes awarded to the top players in each group to celebrate their unique skillsets and achievements!


Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday June 11 at 4 PM Wednesday June 11 at 4 PM at the CTF Booth in The Sails Pavilion.


The CUT-OFF TIME to decide the winners will be 3 PM on Wednesday June 11. 3 PM on Wednesday June 11.


Here are the Rules:
  • The Winners need to be present in-person at the CTF Booth during the Awards Ceremony time to collect the award. Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.
  • The CTF Team will not be able to ship the awards.
  • The CTF Portal automatically breaks the ties. The tie-breaking rules can be found on the CTF Leaderboard. Click on the icon on the CTF leaderboard to read them.
  • There are plenty of Tracks and Missions in CTF at Cisco Live. In order to give a fair chance to everyone for Winning regardless of the Tracks they play, instead of having a prize & leaderboard per track, we maintain a few aggregated leaderboards where the scores from the Tracks are pooled.
  • This year even the points from most of the CTF Activities also are taken into account on the All-in-One Leaderboard to encourage the players investing their time in the CTF Activities.
  • The 5 x CTF Technology Track Leaderboards are: Networking Leaderboard,  Security Leaderboard,  Data Center and Cloud Leaderboard,  Collaboration Leaderboard,  Offensive Security and Forensics Leaderboard.  The aggregated scores from the Missions/Tracks played are accounted into the respective Technology Track Leaderboards. The Prefix in the Track Name specifies the Technology Track to which a CTF Track belongs.
  • The 4 x EXPERT CTF Technology Track Leaderboards are: Networking Expert Leaderboard,  Security Expert Leaderboard,  Data Center and Cloud Expert Leaderboard,  Collaboration Expert Leaderboard. 
  • All-in-One Leaderboard  is the aggregated leaderboard that sums up the scores earned from every individual CTF Track that a player plays during this Event.
  • Note that the "Observability CTF Track" does not have an individual award category like other 5 CTF Technology Tracks mentioned above. This is because the content is much shorter compared to other CTF Technology Tracks, and hence does not quailfy to have its individual award. However, the points earned from Observability CTF Track do count in winning the All-in-One Award Category.
  • The scores of Cisco Customers and Partners will be tracked separately and both would be awarded separately in all the above mentioned categories.
  • The identification of Cisco Partners and Cisco Customers will be done based on the "relationship" type a player would have selected at the time of registration at Cisco Live and even at the time of registration for Capture the Flag. If a player sees any discrepancy in their status as a Cisco Customer or Cisco Partner within the CTF Portal, then they must inform the CTF Proctor Team immediately and this must be done reasonably before the Award Ceremony Cut-off time. If such request comes too close to or after the Award Ceremony Cut-off time, CTF Team will not be able to make any changes in the results.
  • The timings mentioned here are in San Diego Local Time.
  • Only the in-person attendees of Cisco Live AMER 2025 in San Diego are allowed to participate in this Event.
  • Cisco Employees are not eligible for winning any prizes. They can still play and are eligigle for earning CE credits wherever applicable just like any other CTF Players.
  • All participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsperson like manner. Any form of cheating, hacking, or malicious activity will result in immediate disqualification and potential legal action as permitted by applicable laws.
  • Sharing answers or engaging in any form of collusion is strictly prohibited.
  • Publishing answers online during or after the CTF Event is strictly prohibited.
  • Only one Cisco Exam Voucher will be provided per winner regardless of the number of prizes they have won.
  • The CTF Team reserves the right to disqualify or remove any participant who violates these rules.
  • In case of any issues, the decision taken by the CTF Team will stand final.
